Editingggg part 1

Hey guys! Today I am going to show you my editing process.

Today I began editing my film opening. Honestly, it was pretty stressful getting the clips on the computer to edit and figuring out how to transfer everything. But after some help from my friend, I was able to do it.

For my film, I decided to use CapCut. I was going to use Adobe Pro Create to edit, but I wasn't able to get it downloaded on my computer. So I resorted to CapCut, which is still pretty good.

Here are some pictures I took of me editing.

In this picture I was editing the lengths of each and every clip that I had taken during the production of my film. Since I needed to have the full video at 2:00 minutes, I needed to crop a lot of the clips to fit it into the time.
This process took me like 30 minutes just to get all the clips at the perfect length so the film looks smooth.

For this part of the editing, I needed to slow down one of the clips because it looked to rushed, so I used some of my editing techniques to help me make it look more realistic. The problem I ran into during this was the audio. The audio sounded very distorted since I slowed down the end to make it smoother. But to fix this I lowered and isolated the volume from the clip so that It wouldn't be noticeable.

Here I was choosing some audio to put in the beginning of the film. For the intro of my opening, I wanted to show the hallway leading into the girls room and show images of items in her room that represent her. So to fill the background noise that is just crunchy and loud from my house. So I found non-copyright music that I was able to use that I felt went right with the mood and tone of the beginning of the film.

In this clip, I was editing the audio for the background music. After I had found the song, I was editing to fit it into the scene.

I was also able to smooth it out in a way that made the scene look good.

I had to play with the volume and "fade" effect to find the right timing and sound for the music to be put.
